Brief Profile

Dr. Shweta Pasi completed her Master’s degree in Biotechnology from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, in 2008. She obtained her Ph.D. in Immunology from the BRIC–National Institute of Immunology (NII), New Delhi, in 2014. Following her doctoral training, she pursued postdoctoral research at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru, from 2014 to 2016.

Dr. Pasi joined the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) in 2016 as a Scientist-B at the National Institute of Malaria Research (ICMR-NIMR), where her research focused on vector biology. In 2023, she joined the ICMR-National Institute of Occupational Health Research (ICMR-NIOHR), Ahmedabad, Gujarat, where she investigated the immunotoxic effects of industrial xenobiotics on human neutrophils. She joined the ICMR-National Institute of Nutrition (ICMR-NIN) in 2025, where her current research focuses on understanding the immunomodulatory effects of ultra-processed foods. She has worked in the diverse fields of chronic disease biology, immunology and Malaria vector Biology.
